Officials at Dublin Airport seize €40,000 in luggage
REVENUE officials at Dublin Airport have seized €40,000 in cash concealed in carry-on baggage.
Officers from Revenue's Customs Service at the airport discovered the cash in baggage belonging to two men from Northern Ireland.
It is understood the men are aged 29 and 30 and were about to board a flight to Malaga yesterday morning.
The cash was seized by Revenue officials in accordance with the Criminal Justice Act on suspicion of being the proceeds of crime after what was described as an “intelligence-led” investigation.
