Joe McNamara (41), pictured, originally from Achill Island, Co Mayo, but with an address at Dun Na Carraige, Salthill, Galway, appeared before Judge Bridget Reilly at Cloverhill District Court yesterday.

The judge noted a plea of not guilty and the case was adjourned for four weeks.

Mr McNamara was released on his own nominal bond of €300 and is due before court again on January 11, 2011.

Mr McNamara is already facing charges of criminal damage following a similar incident in September when he allegedly drove a cement mixer painted with the words "Anglo Toxic Bank" to the gates of Leinster House.
