All but one of a group of 14 union-represented workers at the Rostrevor House Nursing Home in Dublin were yesterday given P45s and payment --it averaged €4,000 -- owed to them.

A woman named as 'Vicky', who appeared on RTE detailing her experiences at the home where she worked in the kitchen for 10 years, was refused a redundancy payment.

Louise O'Reilly of SIPTU said the operators of the home have claimed she is under investigation for fraud. The union said this only began after Vicky began co-operating with a HIQA probe into Rostrevor House.

Ms O'Reilly said the issue would be pursued to the Employment Appeals Tribunal. Vicky is due some €6,000.
