NO details on the cost of a state trip to London on which Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman John McGuinness brought his wife could be found in a trawl of records and files.
Mr McGuinness told the PAC his wife accompanied him on three trips paid for from the public purse during his time as junior minister in the Department of Enterprise between 2007 and 2009.
The trips were a St Patrick's Day visit to Seattle, another St Patrick's Day trip to Scotland and a separate trip to London.
The Seattle trip cost €22,000 for Mr McGuinness, his wife and another official. Mr McGuinness and his wife flew business class at a cost of €9,200. Mr McGuinness told the PAC he would provide details of the London trip, but no records could be found by the Department of Enterprise and Enterprise Ireland.
