Rugby legend Paul O'Connell might be deliberating about retirement, but the star player has lined out for Irish charity Haven once again.

The 35-year-old has signed a portrait of himself, which was created by Irish artist Dave Duffy.

The striking image, which features the star in the green jersey of Ireland, will be auctioned off in a bid to raise money for the charity, which coordinates projects and programmes on the ground in Haiti.

The Munster star, who has been an ambassador for the charity since 2012, was "more than happy to sign this portrait".

Mr Duffy said donating the painting gave him "great joy" and he hopes the public will support the online auction, at Havenpartnership.com
