Woman who crashed into house contacts Gardai

A hunt for a woman who drove a car into the front of a house has ended after she made contact with gardai.

Gardai had said the driver fled the scene and detectives were appealing for her or anyone who witnessed the smash to come forward.

The incident happened today at 7am this morning at house on St Margaret's Road in Finglas.

No one was at home at the time of the crash, but the car smashed the front of the home - destroying a window and wall.

Gardai now say they have spoken with the woman and investigations are continuing.
