Woman killed by train 'after following dog on to tracks'
A woman has been killed after being struck by a train in Co Mayo.
The incident occurred at a level crossing near the village of Strade at around 11.30am on Saturday morning.
A total of 17 passengers were travelling on the two carriage train from Manulla junction to Ballina were uninjured.
The victim's body has been removed to Mayo University Hospital where a post mortem examination will be carried out.

"It is our understanding that the woman has followed her dog - who had broken free - on to the tracks," an Irish Rail spokesperson told independent.ie
The passengers on the train were later transported to their destination by bus.
Gardai and Irish Rail are currently investigating the incident and the train line where the incident occurred remains closed.
Passengers will be informed via the website and social media when the line will be reopened.
