The mystery winner of the National Lottery Christmas Millionaire Raffle has just 24 hours left to come forward and collect the €1 million fortune.

The clock is ticking and Lottery bosses are urging people to check their Christmas Millionaire raffle tickets as the deadline to collect prizes is up tomorrow.

The golden ticket was number 179740 and was bought at the Topaz Service Station on Lower Tivoli Road in Cork on December 21.

National Lottery Chief Executive Dermot Griffin said: "With just 24 hours left to go until the deadline we would urge all National Lottery players to check in their homes and cars for any misplaced Millionaire Raffle tickets purchased just before Christmas last year.

"And ask all players to remind anyone that they might have bought a raffle ticket for as a Christmas present to also check their tickets."

The National Lottery said that during their 30 year history people have often left it until the last minute to come forward.

Last August a lucky Cork family syndicate collected a huge €381,863 EuroMillions Prize just one hour before the prize claim deadline.
