Firefighters rushed to contain a blaze that broke out near a commercial building yesterday evening.

Two units from the Dublin Fire Brigade responded to calls that a fire at the junction of Stillorgan and the N11 had broken out.

A shed and surrounding vegetation has caught on fire at approximately 5pm - and was threatening to spread to a nearby premises.

Some of the brave actions of the crew were caught on film by a bystander.

By approximately 6pm, the firefighters had managed to get the fire under control and prevented it from spreading.

The DFB reported that they received a number of emergency calls from commuters passing by the site.

There were no reported injuries as a result of the blaze.
