Incredible footage shows a father and his daughter canoing though flooded strawberry fields in Armagh.
The video clip, shot on a mobile phone, shows David Dunlop and his daughter taking their canoes for a spin around the flooded fields of Foxberry Fruit Farm in Derrytrasna, Co Armagh.
Farm owner Philip Fox told Independent.ie that when Dunlop asked him for permission to canoe through the floods, he "didn't believe him... but lo and behold, there he was, canoing down the main road".
Fox explained that the duo had been making an effort to canoe in a number of flooded areas around the county and he shot some footage of the two on his drone.
"It's a once in lifetime opportunity... you'd normally never be able to canoe down those fields".
"I helped him carry over the canoe and off he went".
Fox says that the excursion is "a bit of craic" for an area that has been hit very badly by floods, "which show no sign of going away".
"It's disheartened us because we have 42,000 plants in that field".
"We're supposed to be in there now, cutting the leaves... we wait any longer, they could rot... and the plants could die".
"It's very worrying".
"For the first few days (of the New Year) it was a novelty but that soon wore off... Three weeks now, going on four".
The Executive still don't know what's happening with relief funds... it would be good to get some answers".
Fox has taken a lot of footage of the flooded local areas. See more of his footage here.
