Two teenagers among three arrested in connection with early morning burglary after gardai stop car

Two teenagers were among three people arrested in connection with an alleged burglary at a shopping centre in Meath this morning.

The burglary took place at a premises shortly after 1am in Blackcastle Shopping Centre, Navan. Three males (17,17 and 22 years) were arrested and are being detained at Navan Garda station.

Gardaí went to the scene and observed a car, which was being driven by one of the men, acting suspiciously

Two more men then jumped into the car and left the scene in the direction of Slane.

The car was later stopped on the Slane Road by other units from Navan Garda station.

During the burglary, the shop's shutter and front window were damaged, a small sum of cash and clothing was taken.

No staff were in the shop at the time of the incident. Investigations are on going.
