Two men arrested in connection with seizure of €600,000 worth of drugs

Two men have been arrested following the seizure of a large quantity of drugs in north Dublin.

Gardaí stopped a truck and a car at St Margaret's Road in Finglas shortly before 7pm yesterday evening.

Some 100kg of cannabis (street value €600,000) and over 40 thousand prescription drugs were discivered and seized.

Members of the Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau arrested two men in their 30s in connection with the seizure.

Both men are detained under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act, 1996 at Finglas Garda Station.
