Two men arrested after gardai seize €280k of cocaine

Over €280k worth of cocaine has been seized and two men have been arrested in an operation in Drogheda, Co Louth.

Two men were arrested after the interception of two vehicles in Drogheda, Louth yesterday at around 7.30pm.

The drugs were seized from the car and two men (aged 40 and 57) were arrested and remain in custody at Drogheda Garda station.

During this operation searches were also conducted at a number of premises located in Newry, Co Armagh and the Dublin Region.

The information which led to the arrests came from an  operation targeting drug trafficking activities in the border areas under Operation Scale.
