Fire services were called to two major buildings in Dublin city centre this afternoon to deal with separate incidents.
Staff at the Department of Health in Hawkins House in Dublin's South Inner city were forced to evacuate after an alarm was set off shortly after lunch.
Units from nearby Tara Street station attended the scene but they discovered it was a false alarm.
A short time later staff at Citi Bank in the IFSC were also forced to leave their building.
Three fire units, a turntable, and a district officer attended the scene. A small fire was discovered in wall cladding. The blaze was put out.
A spokesman for Dublin Fire Brigade said: "It was a small fire but there was a lot of smoke. The emergency evacuation procedure was put in place."
