Three hospitalised after late night Dublin crash

Three people were rushed to hospital after a two car collision in the capital late last night.

The crash, between a Volkswagen Passat and a Hyundai hatchback happened shortly before 11pm on the Stillorgan Road near UCD.

It is understood that both drivers were male – one in his late 50s and the other in his early 40s.

Both passengers in the cars were female in their late 50s and early 30s respectively.

It is not known which of the three occupants were taken to hospital, although it is understood they were only admitted as a precaution.

Emergency services attended the scene.

Gardai in Stillorgan are investigating the incident.
