Three arrested in connection with murder of Dublin grandmother Patricia O'Connor
Three people have been arrested earlier today as part of the investigation into the murder of Patricia O’Connor.
Ms O'Connor's dismembered remains were found scattered across a 30km area of the Wicklow mountains in June.
It is alleged that she was killed at the end of May.
A 73 year-old-man was arrested in Co Meath and two women aged 19 years and 38 years in Dublin.
The three are currently detained at Bray and Wicklow Garda stations under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
A man previously arrested and charged in relation to the case is currently before the courts.
Ms O'Connor, a mother-of-two and a grandmother, worked as a chef in a south Dublin hospital. She was first reported missing on June 2, but at the time her disappearance was not considered suspicious.
The garda investigation is ongoing.
