Thousands of Dublin homes left without power following fault at ESB power station

Thousands of homes have been left in the dark tonight as a power fault affected a number of areas across Dublin.
Some 5,000 customers in the Donaghmede, Howth junction, Sutton, and Malahide Road area were impacted by the fault.

The fault occurred at around 7pm on Friday evening at Howth Junction.
Power was restored to many areas within hours of the first reported fault.
However, hundreds of homes are still waiting for electricity to be restored.
