When these gardai pulled over a suspicious driver in Tallaght, South Dublin they didn't quite realise what they were getting themselves in for.

Firstly the driver was intoxicated and was already disqualified from getting behind the wheel of a car.

Next the gardaí from the Dublin traffic corps noticed that the driver had had no tax, insurance or NCT.

But nothing could prepare them for what else he was missing.

In a tweet, posted online this afternoon, gardaí revealed that the driver had no front wheels on the vehicle.

The driver was pulled over at around 3am today in the Bawnlee area of Tallaght.

The post has already generated some brilliant reactions online with one twitter user branding it "wheely crazy stuff...".

Another pointed out that there was "no need to get the stinger out" while one tweeter added, "he couldn't be done for bald front tyres at least".
