The Wellington Exhibition in the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre, and a service in St Patrick's Cathedral were among the events which commemorated its 200th anniversary. It features artefacts from the duke's birth in 1769, to his parliamentary days and his time as Chief Secretary to Ireland, to his State funeral in 1852. Cartoons of the day covering his participation in Catholic Emancipation and caricatures are also on display.
