Summer could be here at last with a sunny weekend ahead

This evening will continue to be sunny with the sunshine carrying into tomorrow morning.

Tomorrow evening will be cooler due to east coast winds, with an odd shower, according to Met Eireann.

There is finally a weekend of sunshine ahead with warm, light winds expected.

Saturday will be mainly dry with just isolated showers later in the day, mainly in the southwest of the country.

Temperatures will reach 13 or 14 degrees in the north of the country and 17 to 19 degrees for much of the rest of the country. Coastal regions will remain cooler.

Sunday is expected to be dry with strong sunshine and temperatures will reach 17 to 19 degrees with light winds.
