A student who passed away suddenly last weekend was "full of dreams" her heartbroken parents said.

Denisse Kyle Dasco (20) was a healthy, sporty woman who showed no signs of being unwell before she collapsed in Cork last Friday.

Attempts were made to revive her and she was rushed to Mercy University Hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.

Denisse was originally from Raheen in Co Limerick and was living in Cork as she was in a third year Forensic Science student in UCC.

She is survived by her parents Mary and Carlos, sister Deborah and brother Carl.

Her parents said of their daughter: "She was always so bubbly, outgoing, entertaining , friendly, energetic, sports minded and positive.

Members of the I Love Limerick photography project - which her father is a part of - also spoke about their loss.

I Love Limerick member and close family friend Richard Lynch said: "She was filled with light and love.

"When I heard the news I was absolutely devastated. It's heartbreaking.

"She was so talented and creative and often took photos for us when her dad was unavailable. I had the honour of hosting her 18th birthday party and will treasure the memories."

A cremation service for Denisse is set to take place tomorrow morning at The Island Crematorium in Rocky Island, Ringaskiddy, Co Cork.
