A punter in Bray has picked up a tidy sum of €33,000 after placing a €1 bet on last night’s Euromillions draw.
The winner selected four of the five numbers in the Euromillions Plus draw, and beat the 33,000 to one odds to pick up the prize at the Quinsborough Road Branch of Ladbrokes.
In a statement, Hayley O'Connor of Ladbrokes said: "The odds on predicting four numbers from the Euromillions draws are over three times bigger than the odds for spotting the Lough Ness Monster, and over ten times bigger than Hull's price to win this Premier Leauge, so it's not surprising that it's such a popular bet for punters, and one of them struck gold last night."
The numbers the winner picked were 4, 48, 49 and 50.
78 Euromillions Plus players picked four numbers last night, and each of them won €2,000. The top prize for Euromillions Plus was €500,000.
