Pedestrian (60s) killed by car in early morning incident

A pedestrian has been killed in a road traffic collision in Co Donegal in the early hours of this morning.
The man - aged in his late 60s - was fatally injured when a car struck him at approximately 2.50am this morning.
The incident occurred at McClays corner on the Letterkenny side of Stranorlar, Co. Donegal.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body remains at scene.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic collision investigation and local diversions are in place.
Motorists have been advised to avoid travelling in the area or to allow extra time for their journey.
