Part of the M50 closed as fire brigade deal with large container fire during busy night

Two lanes of the M50 were closed for part of Sunday night as Dublin Fire Brigade dealt with a large fire.
Ahead of Halloween the fire brigade in the capital was extremely busy overnight on both sides of the river.
According to the official twitter account two lanes of the M50 Northbound at Junction 9 (Red Cow) were closed down as officers tackled a container fire adjacent to the motorway.
Three units of the fire brigade were on scene for several hours. The fire was brought under control shorlty after 11pm.

Separately firefighters dealt with a domestic fire in Clondalkin and a number of bonfires on both sides of the city.
