Over €440k worth of drugs seized after men stopped in city centre with ecstasy tablets
Two men have been arrested in connection with the seizure of a total of €442,000 worth of drugs.
Gardai stopped two men - aged in their 20s - on Aston Quay in Dublin 2 as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of illegal drugs in the centre city area.
Both men were found to be in possession of ecstasy tablets and arrested for offence under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
A follow up search at an apartment on D’Olier Street discovered ecstasy tablets, with a street value of €418,000 and cocaine, with a street value of €24,000.
The drugs and a quantity of cash were seized by gardai .
Both men are currently detained at Store Street Garda station under section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
