Oh what a night: Homeless Adam Skinner sets off on first Debs with charity volunteer
The young homeless man who was invited to his first debs by a charity volunteer looked dapper in his tuxedo as he set off tonight on a night to remember.
Adam Skinner (21) dressed in black and white in a smart suit, shoes and cufflinks - all bought with donations from hundreds of kind-hearted people who responded to an online appeal.
March for the Homeless volunteer Sarah Jane Curtis (19) invited Adam, who is sleeping rough on the streets, to accompany her on this special night.
She looked as glam as her handsome date as she smiled for cameras in a floor-length royal blue gown and matching corsage.
Adam never had the opportunity to attend his own debutante ball and was blown away by the reception he received from well wishers.
The March for the Homeless group was set up by organiser Darren Bradley back in December, with the aim of spreading awareness of Ireland's homeless and housing crisis.
A post on the charity group's Facebook page gathered responses from hundreds who wished to help organise Adam's outfit and limousine for the night.
Sarah Jane has described Adam, "as one one of the nicest, friendliest, kindest caring and decent guys out there".
Adam has said he was hoping to find permanent accommodation in the near future, but a generous family is currently putting him up three days a week.
