A microlight aircraft has made an emergency landing in Co Down after an engine failure.

The pilot was able to land safely in a field near the Moate Road between Comber and Newtownards.

Police have said both people on board are safe and well.

"We will be on scene for a while yet pending arrival of relevant air investigation team."
