MH17: TD's cousin killed in plane crash

One of the victims of the plane crash was Irish. She was from Lucan but has lived in Western Australian for 20 years.

The victim is in her fifties and is the first cousin of of the wife of the Labour TD for Longford/West Meath Willie Penrose.

The late woman is believed to be a mother of two.

A source told independent.ie that the family of the woman are "devastated".

"It's extremely traumatic for them, they are trying to come to terms with it."

The woman's mother and three sisters are being consoled by family members and friends.
