McAleese: Pope's plan is 'bonkers'

FORMER president Mary McAleese has described Pope Francis's plan to ask bishops for advice on church teachings on family life as "bonkers". She asked how many of the 150 male, celibate priests who would attend a synod on the family had changed a nappy.
