Man stabbed in Dublin city centre in shocking daylight attack

A man has been stabbed in Dublin city centre this afternoon.

It is understood that the man was knifed at Wood Quay, along the River Liffey, earlier this afternoon.

Witnesses reported that a pool of blood was visible at the scene of the incident at the steps of Dublin city council offices.

The man received treatment at the scene and was taken away in an ambulance.

Gardaí have been contacted for comment.
