A man in his 30's - arrested in connection with a shooting at a pub in Sallynoggin on Monday - is expected to appear in court tomorrow morning.
He will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice, Parkgate Street, Dublin 8 at 10.30am charged in connection with the incident.
The man was arrested in Dublin on Tuesday evening.
He is being detained at Dun Laoghaire Garda station under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.
A gunman opened fire in the Sallynoggin Inn around 1 am while a dance was still taking place in the premises.
Nobody was injured as the initial shots were fired, but as the gunman left the pub, he turned back and shot again, this time hitting a doorman who comes originally from County Carlow.
The doorman, aged 45, was taken to St Vincent's University Hospital. His injuries are not life-threatening.
