Man dies after his car collides with van in early morning crash

A man has died after his car collided with a van in an early morning crash in Wexford.

The man, who was in his 20s, was killed after his car collided with a van at approximately 4.35am this morning on the N11.

The accident happened at Garrycleary, Crossabeg, Co Wexford (between the village of Oylegate and Kyle’s Cross).

The man was pronounced dead the scene. His body has been removed to Wexford General Hospital for a post-mortem. The van driver, a man in his 40s, was also taken to Wexford General Hospital with minor injuries.

The N11 is currently closed to traffic in both directions and diversions are in place. Garda Forensic Collision Investigators have been notified to attend the scene.
