Man (31) arrested in Essex over Gareth Hutch murder close associate of murdered Michael Keogh

A man has been arrested in the UK in connection with the gangland murder of Gareth Hutch last year.
The suspect (31) was arrested by police in London on foot of a European Arrest Warrant and is now expected to be extradited back to Ireland to face a charge in relation to the murder.
In a statement gardaí confirmed that the man was arrested this morning in the Romford area of Essex by the National Crime Agency (NCA) in conjunction with An Garda Síochána and the London Metropolitan Police.
Gareth Hutch (35), a nephew of Gerry 'The Monk' Hutch, was shot dead outside his home in Avondale House flats, North Cumberland Street, Dublin in May 2016.
His death has been linked to the ongoing Hutch Kinahan feud.
Yesterday Regina Keogh (39) was brought before Dublin District court where she was charged in connection with his murder.
In court evidence was heard that she replied, "I didn't do it. I didn't murder anybody", when charged with murder.
Ms Keogh's brother Michael Keogh was shot dead in a car at Sheridan Court in Dublin's north inner city last week. Mr Keogh's funeral is expected to take place on Monday.
Independent.ie has learned that the man arrested in London is a close associate of Michael Keogh.
Another man Thomas Fox, has also been charged in connection with the murder of Gareth Hutch.
