Man (30s) killed after car hits wall along busy commuter road

A man in his 30s has been killed in a single vehicle road collision yesterday afternoon.
The incident occurred shortly before 5pm on the old N3, Dunshauglin to Navan Road.
The single male occupant of the car was seriously injured when the vehicle he was driving hit a wall at Clowanstown.
He was taken to Navan General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Forensic investigators attended the scene, six miles from Dunshaughlin, and a contra-flow traffic system was put in place.
The road has since fully reopened to traffic.
