Man (30s) fatally injured in early morning crash

Gardai are appealing for witnesses after a man was fatally injured after being involved in a single vehicle collision.

The man in his mid thirties was found in his vehicle this morning at around 5:30am by a passerby at Coolshine, on the Caherconlish and Herbertstown road in Limerick.

The body of the man was removed from the scene to the morgue at University Hospital Limerick.

A forensic collision examination was carried on the stretch of road but it has since been reopened.

Meanwhile, Gardai in Roxboro have appealed to anyone anyone who may have been on that stretch of road between 6.30pm last night and 5.30am this morning to contact them.
