Male passenger dies in car crash early this morning

A man in his early 20s has been killed in a road crash in Co Meath in the early hours of this morning.

Gardai in Ashbourne are investigating the single vehicle collision that occurred at Cornelstown at approximately 2.30am this morning.

The victim was a passenger in the car which left the road and was pronounced dead at scene.

His body was removed to Navan Hospital.

The driver and a second passenger received non life threatening injuries.

The road is closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are put in place.
