Major delays for Irish Rail and DART commuters due to technical fault

A technical fault at a rail crossing has led to major delays for commuters this evening.

A signal fault at the Merrion Gate, which is between Sydney Parade and Booterstown, led to DART, commuter and Rosslare services grinding to a halt this evening.

According to their Twitter account, services resumed shortly before 7pm through the level crossing under close staff and garda supervision.

Dublin Bus are taking commuters with DART tickets.

Iarnrod Eireann are say they are doing everything possible to rectify the situation.
