Train services between the M3 Parkway and the Docklands were delayed by up to ten minutes this morning due to rising water levels at the Docklands station.
Rising water levels from the nearby Grand Canal impacted services at the station.
A spokesperson told independent.ie that services were delayed by up to ten minutes.
The Inland Waterway Services - who oversee canals - had been alerted by Iarnrod Eireann and were en route.
Tracks at the station were not under water - but the rising water levels had impacted on the points mechanism there.
Such a situation regarding Grand Canal rising water levels and the Docklands Station had never been experienced before, the spokesperson added.
Iarnrod Eireann were confident the situation would be resolved soon and services would get back to normal quickly.
