SIPTU will ballot drivers for full strike action in the next two weeks, in retaliation for moves by operator Transdev to cut sick pay.
Drivers met at Green Isle hotel in west Dublin today to discuss the matter.
Richard McCarty, shop steward, confirmed that an all out strike action ballot would be held, but he said drivers remained open to talks.
It comes as drivers went on strike for the twelfth time today in the ongoing row.
It is understood that among the courses of action under discussion are all out strike, or seeking to return to third party mediation.
