Kerry takes gold with Dingle win

GREAT restaurants, good local producers and a community galvanised behind its hometown – all winning ingredients that led to Dingle becoming Ireland's 'Best Foodie Town'.

Fenton's Restaurant was voted the 'Best Casual Dining Restaurant' and The Global Village was awarded the gong for 'Emerging Irish Cuisine'.

Chef Martin Bealin of The Global Village said the award gelled together the massive effort that was being made by communities all over the country, to source and support local producers, and let those ingredients shine.

"We're proud of ourselves and our cuisine in Kerry," he said.
