Jonathan (33), known as Johnny, died at work in Little Electrical Engineering in Lurgan, where he was a buyer.

On Thursday morning Roisin dropped her husband off to work, as she did every morning, and kissed him goodbye.

Just hours later police arrived at her door and broke the devastating news that her husband had passed away.

"It just hit me, I knew what they were going to say and I just didn't want to hear it. I just couldn't believe it," Roisin told UTV.

"I thought maybe they had made a mistake, that it just wasn't happening. It is just so unreal, I can't believe it.

"I feel broken. I wish somebody would wake me up.

"I just can't believe I'm not going to be able to hug him again or see him smiling, he's just gone.

"He honestly was such a genuine, caring, great person. It's so sad that it was all so short."

Roisin described how Jonathan enjoyed working at the Lurgan company, where he was firm friends with his colleagues.

Speaking about the moment the got engaged, she said: "He said: 'I'm the happiest man alive, I can't believe that you want to marry me'. I said: 'Why would I not want to marry you?' He said: 'Well, why me?' And I said: 'Because you are you'."

The grieving newlywed said the pair had "just gelled" and were deeply in love.

"He was so good to me, he was so caring and did everything for me, nothing was too much trouble. He loved looking after me and I loved looking after him," she said.

"He was such a good person and he had to go so soon."

His mother Sandra said her son had texted her the night before the accident to tell her he loved her.

"I'm just completely heartbroken, he was just the best son anybody could ask for, he was just so good, and he had so many friends, it's unbelievable," she told UTV.

"It's terrible, it's just trying to come to terms with it. You just want him back again.

"People used to say will Johnny ever marry, and I said there's somebody out there for Jonathan, and that wee fella died happy. His whole life had changed. I never saw a young fella so happy in all my life, he was just so, so happy.

"He loved her so much. We all love her."

Hundreds of tributes have flooded social media following Jonathan's death, with many friends describing him as a "gentleman".

His funeral will take place on Monday at Donaghcloney Elim Church.
