Insulation bales stolen from building site 'potentially harmful to community' if set alight

Gardai have launched an investigation following the robbery of 20 insulation bales from a building site.

The theft of the bales - at four sheets per bale - occurred at Strand Road in Termonfeckin, Co Louth at some point between Monday October 27 and Thursday October 27.

If the bales are set alight, the smoke and fumes can be toxic and potentially harmful for anyone breathing the fumes in.

Gardaí are anxious to make the local community aware of the possible dangers if the stolen material is burned.
