Heavy rain fails to deter fans of Bloom

Roses, lavender, daffodils and tulips are the nations favourite flowers, according to fans of the Bloom festival.
A survey was carried out by Bord Bia to coincide with the 9th annual festival in Phoenix Park and organisers are hoping to beat last year's attendance of more than 106,000 visitors. And, they look on track to break this record as 15,000 people flocked to the opening day last Thursday, a 30pc increase on the same day last year. Bloom is still "very much open for business" today, say organisers, despite the heavy rain at the weekend.
