HE is known for his hard questions and no-nonsense approach to journalism.

But yesterday legendary Channel 4 newscaster Jon Snow was in more relaxed form as he spoke with students at Trinity College about his career in the media.

Snow was invited to the university by students from the Trinity College Philosophical Society.

He was yesterday awarded the Gold Medal of Honorary Patronage.

The broadcaster and journalist is best-known for presenting the nightly news on Channel 4 and has covered some of the biggest international news stories including wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and the conflict in Gaza.

Earlier his week he made headlines after he spoke of taking the drug 'skunk' as part of a new documentary.
