#Gridlock: 78% of poll respondents think traffic is back to pre-recession levels in their area

Independent.ie are running a Twitter poll in which we're asking our readers if the traffic in their area has seen significant worsening in recent months.

Over 78% of respondents so far have voted yes to the question "is traffic in your area back to pre-recession levels".

21% per cent did not agree that traffic had worsened to that extent, while one per cent were unsure.

One voter wrote that he had switched to public transport but "that needs upgrading also. Too slow, delays and getting very busy".

Another wrote "the M7/N7 is now a carpark from 7am onwards, we need a new outer ring road".
