Get covered up on your morning commute - it's brass monkeys out there!
The mild autumnal weather that we were basking in of late seems to have bid us farewell this morning
Waking up for work on a Tuesday is never an enjoyable task - but putting the toes out of bed today is more daunting than usual.
With top temperatures of just 11 to 13 Celsius, according to Met Eireann, it would be wise to be well covered on your commute.
Met Eireann have also forecast strong and gusty northwest winds so the day will feel even colder than predicted.
And if that wasn't enough to have you locking the front door from the inside, rain showers - some heavy - are expected to fall throughout the day.
Tonight's temperatures will drop even further, according to the national forecaster, but there's small respite in that the showers will dry up.
With mercury not rising about 4C as you're heading to bed, it might be time to dust off the onesies and the hot water bottle.
More settled conditions are expected tomorrow with a dry, bright day, with good sunny spells forecast.
Slightly higher temperatures of 12 to 14 C are expected, with a moderate northwest breeze that will die down as the day progresses.
