Gardai probe as man dies after falling through porch window

Olivia Kelleher

Gardai in Co Cork are investigating after a 36-year-old man died after reportedly falling through the porch window of his home near Glanworth.

The body of the deceased was recovered this morning by his flatmate. It is thought he fell through the window of the property after he made his way home following a night out.

He bled to death having incurred major upper body injuries. His flat mate raised the alarm but unfortunately medics were unable to save him.

A post mortem examination was due to be carried out yesterday at Cork University Hospital by Assistant State Pathologist Dr Margaret Bolster. Foul play has been ruled out in the case.
