Gardai have made an appeal for the public's assistance in locating missing man Sean O hIarnain (John Hernon).

Mr O hIarnain (46) is from Carna in  Co Galway - but was last seen in Ballymun, North Dublin.

He was last sighted on the morning of Saturday, August 29th, when he left the Days Hotel at Santry Cross in Ballymun. He had travelled to the hotel from Carna the day before.

Sean is described as 6ft 2in in height, of broad build, and with grey hair and blue eyes.

He is believed to be driving a white Volvo S60 car, with the registration 152 G 1374. It's believed he could in the greater Dublin or Kildare area.
