Four arrested in two separate drug seizures totalling €1.2m
A man and a women have been arrested in connection with €800,000 drugs seizure.
The pair, both aged 29, are currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Irishtown Garda Station.
Gardaí from the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau assisted by Gardaí from the Donnybrook District Drugs Unit conducted a planned search of a premises in Irishtown yesterday afternoon.
Heroin, cocaine and cannabis herb with an estimated value of €880,000 was recovered at approximately 4pm.
Meanwhile, in a separate and unrelated incident, two men have been arrested following the seizure of €300,000 of drugs in Dublin.
The cannabis herb was discovered when gardaí from the Drugs & Organised Crime Bureau stopped and searched two cars yesterday lunchtime.
The seizure occurred on the N2 in the Finglas area at approximately 1pm.
The men, aged 40 and 49 years respectively, were arrested at the scene.
They are currently detained under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at Finglas Garda Station.
