Five men arrested following heroin seizure with street value of €80k

Gardai in Dublin have arrested five men after they seized an amount heroin with an estimated street value of €80,000.
Four of the men are in their twenties and the fifth is reported to be in his sixties.
The seizure was made as part of an on-going intelligence-led operation targeting the sale and supply of drugs in the Oliver Bond Flats and South Quays area in Dublin.
Gardai from the Kevin Street Drug Unit were assisted by local uniformed officers in the planned search of two premises in Dublin City Centre this afternoon.
The heroin was seized during the search as well as an amount of cash.
The five men are currently detained at various Garda stations in the city.
